Company and Class Policies and FAQs

How do I sign up?


You will need to set up an account with MINDBODY to pre-register for classes. We
highly recommend pre-registering for all classes, as they may be filled when you
arrive. It is important to us that we are able to accommodate all clients, so this
pre-registration will help both you and the instructor prepare. The schedule tab will
help you set up your MINDBODY account.
Downloading the MINDBODY app on your phone gives you the easiest and most
efficient access to the Local Barre class of your choice. If you are a first timer and you need some assistance getting set up, call the studio
and we will hold your spot and help you get set up with the online registration
process. You will need to show up at least 15 minutes before class in order to get
registered, as well as sign our waivers.




Do I need to come early?


If you are new, please come 15 minutes before class begins to make sure you are
registered. We will show you around the studio and get to know you a little before
class starts!
Please let us know any injuries you have or have had in the past, so that
we know how to make the appropriate modifications during your workout.




What do I do if I am running late?


It happens! Please enter quietly and find a space where you can fit your mat. If you
are more than 5 minutes late, we ask that you do not enter the studio area in fairness
to other students in the class.




Do I need to pre-register?


Yes, We have a waitlist policy. If you come to the studio and have not registered,
there may be others that were on the waitlist and will be given priority to openings.
If it is your first class, we will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability.




How long ahead of class can I register?


You can register days in advance or up until 30 minutes before a class. If it is after
the 30 minute mark, you can call the studio to see if there are openings available and
we can register you for class.




What is the cancellation policy?


Please cancel class in the app or online if you can no longer make your scheduled
time. We have a 12 hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel before the 12 hour
cancellation window, you will be charged a late cancellation fee of $10 if you have an
unlimited membership. If you have a class pack, one of your classes will be used.
Incase of an emergency please call the studio. If you cancel early (outside of the 12
hour window) it will not affect your classes or membership.




Does the studio close on certain days?


If you are one of our email subscribers, we will keep you up-to-date on any days that
we plan on being closed for holidays or studio updates etc. We also follow the
Durham, NH school district for snow closings or late openings. You can find that on
WMUR or on our Instagram account (@localbarrenh).




What should I wear?


Wear a tanktop or t-shirt, and fitted workout leggings that you are comfortable in.
You do not need shoes or socks, we work out barefoot! Please remove them and
place them in the designated area of the studio.




What should I bring?


We provide all of the equipment that you will need, including your mat. If you tend
to get sweaty, and we hope that you do, you can bring a face towel. Please bring
your own water bottle to stay hydrated during class.




What ages can take barre?


Anyone over the age of 16 can take barre in our studio! If you under the age of 18, a
parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver for you.




Can I take Local Barre classes if I am pregnant?


Yes! As long as you have been taking barre classes pre-pregnancy, it is safe to
continue! Our trainers have all been trained in making pregnancy modifications for
our students. Please let the instructor know before class, so they can help make the
appropriate modifications and give you the appropriate equipment and attention
that you may need. As always, please speak with your healthcare provider before
taking a workout class of any kind.




Is there a waitlist?


We have a waitlist if class is already fully registered. There tends to be cancellations,
and you will be notified if you have gotten into the class. If you are on the waitlist
and get into class, we expect that you are coming and will have the same
cancellation policy.
If you know you cannot make it ahead of time, please remove
yourself from the waitlist so that you do not get charged a fee.




Can I freeze my membership?


We understand that many of you are students, and go home for breaks, and
summer. If you are on a student membership, we allow a free membership freeze
for the summer as well as winter break. However, it will automatically unfreeze on
the day classes on campus resume. If you would like to extend the freezing period,
there will be a $15.00 charge.
The maximum amount of time to freeze is 3 months.
For all non-student accounts, there will be a $15.00 fee to freeze your account for up
to 3 months.




How do I cancel my membership?


There will be a $30.00 fee to cancel your membership. Cancellations have to be done
in person at the studio. Exception to this fee are student memberships upon
graduation.





Childcare Policies and FAQs

How old does my child have to be?


Children must be at least 6 weeks old to attend!




Do I need to preregister?


Yes. We need to make sure the childcare room is staffed properly. You may register
up to 60 minutes before the class. If it is within that window, you will need to call the
studio to see if there is room for your little ones.




Can I bring snacks?


Unfortunately due to allergies, snacks are not welcome. However, you may bring a
water that is labeled with your child’s name.
Bottles are welcome for those littles who still need them.




Can I bring more than one child?


Yes! You will need to register each child individually on MINDBODY. The pricing per
child and family are listed above.




What do I need to do at drop off?


Please show up with ample time before class begins. Bring your child through the
main studio entrance. Take off everyone’s shoes before entering the studio and
childcare room. Leave any items that they may need with them, and make sure they
are labeled. Room is open 15 minutes before class begins. If you suspect a difficult
drop off, please leave ample time.




What is the policy on diaper changing and potty breaks?


Our childcare providers are wonderful, but they will not be handling anything
bathroom related. If your child needs a diaper or needs assistance in that bathroom,
we will come get you out of class. Please dispose of diapers outside of the studio.




Is there a late cancellation policy?


We understand emergencies happen, and children get sick. We would much rather
you cancel than spread their germs, so thank you! If you cancel on the MINDBODY
app within the “late cancellation” window of 4 hours, you will be charged a pass.
However, if you call the studio, we can help you cancel.




Will you come get me out of class for anything?


We will pull a parent out of class for the following:
-If a child is inconsolable after 10 minutes
-A safety concern
-Soiled diapers and/or clothing
-A child that needs assistance in the restroom
